No matter your starting point, prefered route or mode of transport we hope that the following information will help you plan your journey.

FROM THE UK

Ferry & Car

Ferry crossings comprise Dover/Calais, Dover/Boulogne, Newhaven/Dieppe, Portsmouth/Caen, Poole/Cherbourg. Crossing times vary enormously dependent on the route.

Eurotunnel & Car

The Eurotunnel crossing takes approximately 35 minutes, followed by a drive of approximately 5 hours 50 minutes from Calais to Coulangé.

Fly-Drive

There are regular Ryanair flights from Stansted to Tours, approximately one hours drive from Coulangé. We recommend arranging the car hire in advance through an international car hire company such as Hertz.

Train-Drive

Eurostar from London Waterloo or Ashford to Paris, Gare du Nord (2hrs 30mins). Cross Paris directly by Metro line 4 to Gare Montparnasse (20 minutes) from where you get the TGV to St. Pierre des Corps, Tours (1 hour). The drive to Coulangé is approximately 1 hour.

... AND FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY ...  

France is noted for its excellent roads and transport systems. All French international airports and train stations have major car hire company agencies and easy connections to the TGV train lines for the train to Tours - if you prefer to hire your car there.
